The General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, Govind Deva Giri Maharaj, announced a significant update in the management of Ram Mandir. He confirmed that the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and former Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra has officially taken up his duties.
According to Govind Deva Giri Maharaj, after completing previous tasks, Jitendra Mishra will arrive in Ayodhya this week to fully take charge of the affairs of Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. In essence, his acceptance was effective from today.
Following a trust board meeting, regular meetings were held with the new treasurer Mahesh Bhagchandak and CEO Jitendra Mishra. During these meetings, numerous issues concerning the organization of the temple premises' operations were discussed in detail, including personnel, security measures, conducting worship services, and pilgrim amenities.
Govind Deva Giri Maharaj emphasized that while religious rituals, traditions, and festivals at Ram Mandir will be conducted under the guidance of holy and learned acharyas, external administrative and practical aspects will be managed in a modern and disciplined manner. Thus, the religious side will adhere to traditions, while administrative activities will utilize modern management systems.
The Maharaj noted that the functioning of the temple extends beyond mere religious events. Since a large number of employees work on the temple premises, ensuring security and other administrative tasks requires the implementation of a modern management system for their orderly execution. He added that Jitendra Mishra's experience and discipline will be utilized to improve the temple's systems.
Govind Deva Giri Maharaj also mentioned that Jitendra Mishra is a person with religious views and studies the Gita. He stressed that the balance between discipline and piety will be crucial in managing Ram Mandir. Furthermore, he clarified the trust's stance regarding the theft incident at the temple, stating that even theft in the presence of Lord Shri Ram is a serious crime.
Although large figures were initially reported regarding this incident, the Maharaj clarified that the actual situation was not as extensive. Constant monitoring will be organized to prevent such incidents in the future. In his view, simply assigning responsibility to employees is insufficient; it is necessary to monitor whether the work is being done properly after authority is granted.
Changes have been made to the daily ritual worship system (Shringar Aarti) at Ram Mandir. Govind Deva Giri Maharaj stated that the effect of the new system will begin to show soon, and pilgrims will see changes in the temple's operational organization shortly. Gradual implementation of necessary changes is planned to make the work more coordinated and efficient while preserving religious traditions.
The trust is also reviewing the organization of Sita Rasoi and Annakshetr. The goal is to provide Prasad to Ram Mandir pilgrims in a dignified, organized, and improved manner. Govind Deva Giri Maharaj stated that serving Rama is as important as serving ramabhakts (devotees of Rama), so special attention will be paid to improving conditions for visitors and travelers.
Govind Deva Giri Maharaj also announced plans to involve holy people of Ayodhya and the local population in the activities of Ram Mandir. Meanwhile, work continues to constantly improve conditions for pilgrims. The administrative system will evolve according to the principles of modern management, while fully preserving the religious dignity, traditions, and methods of temple worship.
According to Govind Deva Giri Maharaj, one of the objectives of the meetings with CEO Jitendra Mishra was to familiarize him with the temple's workflow and staff. He was introduced to the temple personnel, those responsible for security, and workers involved in worship methods, and their duties were explained.
In conclusion, after completing his previous duties, Jitendra Mishra will arrive in Ayodhya this week to assume full responsibility for the management of Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir.
