The Minister of Environment and Energy expressed the desire to increase transparency in fuel prices. To achieve this goal, she proposes strengthening the competencies of the Regulatory Entity for Energy Services.
The main purpose of this initiative is to grant the supervisory body the ability to impose penalties on companies belonging to the petroleum sector. Additionally, Maria da Graça Carvalho suggests legislative changes to give this regulatory entity greater prerogatives in applying sanctions against companies in the petroleum industry.
