The UDL 2026 Dissertation Publication Seminar is a two-day international online event organized by the Urban Design Lab. It gathers selected graduate and postgraduate dissertation projects from around the world in the fields of urban design, landscape architecture, architecture, and planning.
In 2026, the seminar will present 40 abstracts selected from applications received from 15 countries. These projects were chosen for their novelty, significance, quality of research, and innovation, as they explore contemporary urban challenges and new approaches to the future of cities.
The event will take place online on September 12 and 13, 2026, and will be structured around four main thematic areas: Urban Landscape, Urban Governance, Urban Networks, and Urban Regeneration.
On September 12, the program will cover the topics of Urban Landscape and Urban Governance. Discussed issues include climate resilience, green-blue infrastructure, landscape heritage, inclusive urbanism, infrastructure management, tourism, public space, and social development.
