Spectacle Shall We Dance returns for five performances

The popular show Shall We Dance will present its program again at The Playhouse Opera in Durban. The performance will take place over five days, from September 11 to 13.

The annual show features the participation of over one hundred amateur dancers, as well as professional performers and students. More than ten different dance styles are included in the program, including ballroom, ballet, Bollywood, Irish, hip-hop, and Latin American dances.

International dance stars Egor Kondratenko and Mie Linke Funch will return to the stage for the second time after participating in recent competitions in Denmark and Vietnam.

Lisa Bobber will once again act as the host, while professional ballroom dancers Mark and Adlena Leslie-Smith will debut as the central couple.

The production, created by Carrie Cousins and Nevie Lethard, is presented by the South African Dance Teachers Association in collaboration with The Playhouse Company.

As part of the Strictly Ballroom show, the team will perform a melancholic waltz, a vibrant tango, and an exquisite Viennese waltz, combining it with elements of ballet.
