Seven-year-old disabled girl Ragini from Ranipur village (Digeda) in Maniar block, Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh state, had to attend school by hopping every 400 meters on one leg. After this situation became known to the media, local authorities and the government began to act.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took note of this case and assumed responsibility for Ragini's full treatment from the Chief Minister's reserve fund. Furthermore, District Magistrate Mangla Prasad Singh personally visited Ragini's home with a team of officials and doctors.
The administration and various representatives provided the girl with a tricycle, school supplies, and financial assistance. Currently, little Ragini is very happy and says she needs nothing more.
When Ragini was only six months old, she was involved in an accident while traveling with her mother Babita Devi to get medicine. As a result of this incident, her leg sustained serious damage. Due to financial difficulties, the family could not afford proper treatment for her.
Ragini, who is in the first grade, has a father who works as a laborer. She faced great difficulty getting to the Digeda primary school, located 400 meters away, and she traveled there either by hopping or with someone's help.
After the problem was exposed, a treatment plan for Ragini was developed under the direction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In two days, Ragini will be sent to the BHU medical college in Varanasi for examination and treatment. Before this, District Magistrate Mangla Prasad Singh sent a team of doctors to the village for a preliminary medical check-up.
The administrator visited the home, presented Ragini with a tricycle and gifts, and also issued instructions for road repair in the village and inclusion of the family in government programs.
AAP Senator Sanjay Singh spoke with Ragini and her family via video call. The local AAP team came to the village and provided Ragini with a tricycle and financial aid of 26,500 rupees. Additionally, Alakh Pandey from Physics Wallah donated 10 million rupees to help the girl. Thanks to such significant administrative and public support, as well as receiving the tricycle, little Ragini and her family are very happy.
