The Afghanistan national team has withdrawn from the VI World Nomads Games held in Kyrgyzstan. The decision to withdraw was made after the team suffered a 1:4 defeat against Uzbekistan in the first match.
Although the team was prepared to play the next match against Mongolia, the head of the Afghanistan Buzkashi Federation, Gullam Sarvar Jalal, reported that the organizers could not provide suitable horses for the riders. As a result of the refusal to play, the Afghans were awarded a technical loss of 0:3, and the national team completely left the tournament.
The VI World Nomads Games are taking place in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6. The program includes many traditional sports, and the kokpar competitions are held in the city of Cholpon-Ata. It was previously noted that Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the opening ceremony of these World Nomads Games in Bishkek.
