Discussion of New Horizons for Cooperation Between Uzbekistan and Mordovia
The business mission of the Mordovia delegation to Tashkent recently concluded. During this event, a briefing was held by the head of the Republic, Artem Zdunov, at the Sputnik press center in Tashkent.
The Mordovia mission was prepared over several months, during which the main directions of cooperation were determined, and companies prepared specific proposals. The Head of the Republic noted that agreements were signed at the business forum.
According to Zdunov, trade turnover between Mordovia and Uzbekistan has increased by 2.5 times, but the potential for partnership is much greater. Mordovia presented Uzbek partners with solutions and technologies in fields such as railway wagon production and energy.
In particular, the discussion covered the production of railway wagons with freezer compartments and temperature preservation systems, modern pharmaceutical technologies, and flexible solar panels that can be installed on existing buildings.
One project in the field of pharmaceuticals has already reached a practical stage: a Russian company registered a new drug in Uzbekistan and opened a full-fledged company there.
Zdunov also emphasized that localization of production is a key direction of cooperation, implying that enterprises from both countries are not just trading, but also jointly producing products for market entry.
Mordovia is ready to share its experience in organizing catering in schools and kindergartens. In turn, Uzbekistan plans to study Mordovia's experience in developing technology parks, urban planning, and public-private partnerships.
Support for families and demographics was another issue. During Artem Zdunov's visit, who also heads the State Council of Russia commission on the issue of 'Family,' he familiarized himself with the Uzbek experience. He highlighted the importance of understanding not only the reasons for the high birth rate but also the conditions created for families, as well as people's views on the future.
This experience may be useful for the 'Capital of the Family of Russia' project. Artem Zdunov stated that the high overall birth rate indicates a balanced state policy of the country's leadership and government in all regions.
The Head of Mordovia also expressed interest in attracting Uzbek citizens to work and study in the region. The meeting concluded symbolically: Artem Zdunov presented the Sputnik editorial office with a boomerang made of famous Mordovian enamel. According to him, this boomerang should become a symbol of returning to hospitable Uzbekistan.
