The project 'Qingdeng Village Art Museum / anonymous atelier' seeks to recover the public life that is disappearing in the rural areas of Jiangnan. The inspiration for this work lies in the silence that has taken over traditional community spaces.
Places such as old halls and under the fig trees of the villages, which were once informal meeting points for conversations, weddings, and funerals, are gradually disappearing due to changes in rural social structures. Simultaneously, many administrative buildings remain unoccupied after functional reorganization.
Faced with this scenario, the project raised the central question: would it be possible to transform the administrative space into a place dedicated to community life?
