The Minister of Energy of Belarus, Denis Moroz, stated on Wednesday that Belarus and China are actively developing high-level cooperation in the energy sector, which is yielding positive results and opening prospects for a bright future.
These statements were made by Moroz during a press conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Energy of Belarus. The Minister emphasized the long-standing and positive relations at both the state and commercial levels.
He noted that the Ministry of Energy will make every effort to ensure the reliability of energy infrastructure construction and deepen the alignment of Belarus' national development strategy with China's 'Belt and Road' initiative.
Denis Moroz pointed out that China plays a significant role in the development of Belarus' energy infrastructure. As an example of effective interaction between the two countries, he cited the installation of turbines at the Minsk No. 5 thermal power plant.
According to the minister, experience has shown the high reliability, quality, and efficiency of Chinese technologies and equipment, which have brought tangible benefits to the Belarusian economy. He added that Belarus is ready to continue seeking new opportunities in the field of energy partnership with China.
Moroz also mentioned broad prospects for energy cooperation between the two countries, citing the upcoming energy storage system project in Mozyr, which is crucial for increasing the stability of energy supply to local oil refineries and regulating the electricity grid load curve.
