As part of the Asia-Pacific Media Forum, participants visited facilities in Zhuhai, including a 220-kilovolt smart substation and a zero-carbon emission laboratory. There, they familiarized themselves with robotic dogs, de-icing robots, and drones used for inspecting power grids and ensuring readiness for emergencies.
Among the visitors was Sharachandra Bhandari, Senior Correspondent on International Affairs and Executive Editor of the Nepal News Agency (RSS). Based on Nepal's own experience with floods, landslides, and other natural disasters, Bhandari noted that broader access to technology and equipment can strengthen the resilience of economies across the entire Asia-Pacific region.
He also highlighted cooperation between China and Nepal in disaster response, which includes information exchange and equipment support, and called for enhanced regional coordination to align technological solutions with local needs.
