China is firmly opposing the repeated sanctions imposed by the United States against Chinese companies and citizens, which Beijing claims are linked to Iran. This was stated by a representative of China's Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.
Representative Huang Lin emphasized at a regular press conference that China consistently declares its strong opposition to unilateral measures that lack a basis in international law and are not authorized by the UN Security Council.
She added that such sanctions disrupt normal trade activities and undermine global energy security and energy supply stability.
China urgently calls on the United States to immediately lift sanctions against the relevant Chinese companies and citizens, noting that Beijing will resolutely defend their legitimate rights and interests.
