Ultrahuman raises $70 million to create a new human-computer interaction interface in healthcare

Ultrahuman, a company developing technologies to help people better understand and manage their health, has announced the raising of new funding totaling $70 million. Investors in this round included Qualcomm Ventures, Labcorp, Alpha Wave, Blume, Nexus, and Alteria.

This fundraising marks the next stage in Ultrahuman's development: transitioning from a company specializing in wearable health devices to one creating a body-oriented human-computer interface.

Mohit Kumar, founder and CEO of Ultrahuman, noted that for a long time, computers understood almost everything about the world except the user themselves. He stated the ambition to change this situation by creating an interface capable of continuously understanding the body and transforming its signals into useful information for daily life, rather than just providing additional data or another dashboard. The goal is to help people sleep better, understand cardiovascular health, track fertility, and improve metabolic state.

Ultrahuman believes that the most important computational platform of the next decade will not be a device on a desk, in a pocket, or on the face, but a system that constantly analyzes the human body—including sleep, cardiovascular health, metabolism, hormonal rhythms, blood biomarkers, recovery, and the environment—and converts these signals into meaningful improvements in human life.

At the core of this platform is the Ultrahuman ring, supported by Blood Vision technologies, continuous glucose monitoring, and environmental sensors, along with expanding software, artificial intelligence, and a research layer. These systems are designed to form a long-term understanding of human physiology, rather than viewing health as a set of isolated measurements.

Kumar added that creating such a platform requires deep immersion in sensing, materials, electrical engineering, algorithms, physiology, and clinical sciences, and that the capital raised will allow them to significantly accelerate work on the project and present it to millions of people worldwide.

Ultrahuman's approach is based on simple observation: the human body generates a huge amount of information every second, yet computational systems have historically only understood a small fraction of this information. The Ultrahuman ring continuously records physiological signals from the finger, while Blood Vision provides biochemical information on cardiovascular, metabolic, hormonal, inflammatory, and long-term markers. An additional layer provides continuous glucose monitoring M1/M2 Live, tracking metabolic response, and Ultrahuman Home offers insight into the environment during sleep and recovery.

The Ultrahuman bio-intelligence system, named Jade, integrates these signals, making health information more conversational, contextual, and practical. The company's ambition is to move computation beyond systems that simply wait for human input to systems capable of understanding the user's physiological state.

Kevin Li, Senior Vice President of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Global Head of Qualcomm Ventures, stated: 'The future of AI is personal, ambient, and always on.' He emphasized that Ultrahuman is a pioneer of the new generation of personal AI devices that enable easy access to personalized data.

Ultrahuman views the smart ring category as a constantly evolving scientific and computational platform, not as a device defined by a fixed set of metrics. The AFib Detection feature, a world premiere in smart rings, expanded the role of passive wearables to the level of cardiovascular awareness. The Cycle and Ovulation Pro product, based on OvuSense technology acquired from viO HealthTech, provides ovulation confirmation with over 90 percent accuracy, moving reproductive health information beyond calendar-based assessment.

The company has also expanded its focus on cardiovascular health. A fitness age model for the cardiovascular system was studied among 442 adults in a peer-reviewed study published in Frontiers in Digital Health in July 2026. Furthermore, the company is studying sleep and metabolism on a large scale. Research conducted with partners such as Stanford University analyzed data from 227,860 nights of adults from 100 countries.

In 2026, Ultrahuman launched Pulsomics—an optional research platform built directly into the Ultrahuman experience. It allows Ring users to participate in large-scale studies using real long-term data, rather than small controlled laboratory cohorts. Initial programs are studying individual sleep needs, VO2 Max, and glucose metabolism, with further research planned in cardiovascular load and long-term sleep.
