Subendu Adhikari set a goal to create 1000 schools under RSS management in Bengal within a year

The Chief Minister of Bengal, Subendu Adhikari, announced on Thursday plans to establish at least a thousand educational institutions managed by the RSS's education wing, Vidya Bharati. These schools are intended to appear in every district, municipality, and panchayat of the state within one year.

Furthermore, he proposed a plan to merge four existing state education departments into a single structure, emphasizing that there will be no separate administrative body for madrasa education.

Adhikari accused the TMC party of distorting the Bengali curriculum with the aim of dividing the population. He stated that the address to the mother in the curriculum was changed to 'Amma' instead of 'Ma', and that lessons by Ishwara Chandra Vidyasagar or Swami Vivekananda were marginalized.
