Motorola launches moto watch ultra with independent calls and moto snap wireless charger

During IFA 2026, Motorola presented new products, including the moto watch ultra, its most advanced smartwatch, developed in collaboration with Polar. This model integrates Wear OS by Google, LTE eSIM connectivity, dual-frequency GPS, health monitoring features, and integration with Motorola Qira.

On the same occasion, the company also introduced the moto snap wireless charger, a magnetic wireless charger that follows the Qi2.2 standard. This accessory is capable of providing up to 30 W of power to compatible Motorola smartphones, while wireless charging reaches 25 W on Qi2.2 compatible devices.

According to Motorola, the moto watch ultra was designed to cater to various types of users, ranging from exercise enthusiasts to those focused on health and well-being. The partnership established with Polar enriches the watch with dedicated functionalities for tracking sleep, stress, recovery, and physical activities.

Among the available capabilities are Serene, which offers breathing exercises and real-time biofeedback; Nightly Recharge, which assesses sleep quality and autonomic nervous system recovery; and Sleep Plus Stages, which tracks stages such as light, deep, and REM sleep.

The device also features tools like Activity Goal, Activity Score, Active Intensity Zones, Inactivity Alert, Smart Calories, and Energy Sources. Furthermore, it monitors vital signs and includes the Running Coach, which provides guided running and walking plans directly on the wrist.

Thanks to LTE, the smartwatch allows making and receiving calls, sending messages, and managing notifications even when the smartphone is not nearby. The model supports payments via Google Pay using Google Wallet and incorporates dual-frequency GPS for precise navigation.

Using the Wear OS by Google platform, the watch provides access to applications such as Google Maps, YouTube Music, Google Messages, and Google Gemini. Additionally, it is the first Motorola wearable to integrate Motorola Qira, allowing communication with compatible Motorola and Lenovo devices.

In terms of construction, the moto watch ultra features a 1.5-inch OLED display with a maximum brightness of 2,700 nits, and has a stainless steel structure measuring 46 mm. It uses standard 22 mm straps and boasts IP68 and 5ATM certifications, along with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The battery life is estimated by Motorola to be up to two days of active use, although this calculation assumes the Always-On Display (AOD) is off and may vary depending on settings, temperature, usage pattern, and battery status.

The second product presented by Motorola at IFA 2026 is the moto snap wireless charger. This accessory uses magnetic wireless charging and is compatible with the Qi2.2 standard, capable of reaching up to 25 W of power on compatible devices.

For compatible Motorola smartphones, the charger can deliver up to 30 W through the brand's exclusive protocol. The kit includes a 1.5-meter braided USB Type-C cable, support for magnetic cases, and a magnetic alignment system. The charger also has overcharge and overheating protections, and Motorola states that it consumes no energy in standby mode.

Motorola announced that both the moto watch ultra and the moto snap wireless charger will soon be launched in selected Latin American markets. However, the announcement did not specify which countries will receive the items nor provide information on regional pricing.
