Uttar Pradesh Governor Yogi Adityanath will participate in events planned for Janmashtami day, which will take place in three cities. He will begin his day in Mathura, where he will visit the Shri Krishna temple.
In the morning, the Chief Minister will arrive in Mathura to perform worship and the Gopudjan ritual at the Shri Krishna temple. After this, he will take part in the Janmashtami celebration at the Lucknow police station in the evening. Late at night, he will head to Gorakhpur to celebrate the festival at the Gorakhnath temple.
Special arrangements have been made for the Janmashtami celebration at the Shri Krishna temple in Mathura, and a large number of pilgrims are expected. Despite this, all necessary organizational matters have been taken into account for the participation of the head of the government.
After Mathura, the Chief Minister will go to the Lucknow police station, where an event celebrating the birth of Shri Krishna will be held. Communications Commissioner Tarun Gaba reported that the head of the government will see the procession of Shri Krishna in the temple. The program will include various spiritual and cultural performances, as well as devotional songs demonstrating the deeds and life episodes of Shri Krishna.
After the events in Lucknow conclude, the Chief Minister will travel to Gorakhpur late at night. Special celebrations for Janmashtami are also planned at the Gorakhnath temple. As the custodian of Gorakhshapat, Yogi Adityanath will participate in the Janmashtami celebration.
An evening session of bhajans will be held at the Digvijayanat memorial building. According to the chief priest of the temple, Yogi Kalmanat, the continuous performance of bhajans will last until 11:30 PM, during which the head of the government will be present. Additionally, a contest to decorate children in the guise of the infant God Krishna will take place at the Gorakhnath temple, where the Chief Minister will meet the children and give them toys and chocolate. Then, at 11:30 PM, he will proceed to the sanctum sanctorum of the Gorakhnath temple for the puja. The main Janmashtami celebration will take place at midnight to the sound of Vedic mantras. After the birth of God Krishna, the Chief Minister will perform the puja of his infant form and rock Bala Gopala in the cradle amidst bhajans and mantras.
Thus, the Janmashtami program for the head of the government will start in Mathura in the morning and end late at night in Gorakhpur, covering three different religious and cultural events.
