Uzbekistan held Demo Day for startups and industry

The Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan organized a Demo Day event where startups presented their projects to major industrial clusters, according to the agency.

This event was held in honor of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence and aimed at developing the national startup ecosystem, presenting new support mechanisms, and demonstrating innovations to large enterprises.

The main goal of the event was to establish practical cooperation between local startups and industrial groups, implement innovative solutions into production processes, and attract investment to promising ventures.

Approximately 40 startup founders demonstrated their business ideas and technologies to investors and corporate executives. The total number of participants was about 60 people, including investors, venture capital representatives, heads of large production clusters, and entrepreneurs.

After the presentations, investors and industry leaders reviewed the selected projects to discuss financing, commercial implementation, and long-term partnerships.

The organizers called the Demo Day a direct platform for communication between entrepreneurs, financial sponsors, and industrial structures. This initiative is part of the continuous efforts of the authorities of Uzbekistan to strengthen the national innovation ecosystem, connect early-stage projects with large businesses, and expand access to capital.
