A solemn event dedicated to the opening of the Uzbekistan-Japan Center took place at the Bukhara State Technical University. The establishment of this center marks significant progress in strengthening interaction between Uzbekistan and Japan in the fields of science, education, innovation, and cultural exchange, as well as in expanding international prospects for youth.

The opening ceremony gathered several officials. Participants included the Hokim of the Bukhara region, Batir Zaripov, the university rector Sadokat Siddikova, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan, Kenji Hirata, and the head of the JICA representation in Uzbekistan, Mamoru Sakai. Additionally, co-directors of the new center, Hiroo Iwazaki and Alisher Paigamov, representatives of the Japanese Embassy and Tsukuba University were present.
The new center, operating within the premises of the Bukhara State Technical University, is designed to provide a favorable environment for learning the Japanese language and immersing oneself in Japanese culture. It will also serve as a platform for exchanging international experience and involving youth in scientific and innovative developments. This new structure aims to strengthen friendly ties and educational partnership between the two countries.
