The annual Museum Week is being celebrated in Uzbekistan from September 2 to September 8. According to the Agency for Cultural Heritage, admission to 114 state museums, including museum-reserves and house-museums, is provided free of charge during this event.
It is important to note that this promotion does not apply to foreign visitors. Representatives of the agency emphasized that 'Museum Week is a wonderful opportunity to familiarize yourself with the history, art, and national heritage of our country, as well as learn a lot about unique exhibits and ancient monuments.'
In addition to this special period, state museums in Uzbekistan are available for free visits on the first Sunday of every month.
