Uzbekistan intends to expand the volume of meat supplies from India and organize joint production of meat products directly on Indian territory.

Minister of Agriculture Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov announced plans to increase supplies of affordable meat. Joint ventures have already been formed to ensure these supplies. Special attention is paid to cooperation with the Indian company Allana Group, which is a major exporter and producer of halal meat products.
New agreements were concluded during the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Uzbekistan. Uzbek specialists will take direct part in the slaughtering and meat preparation processes in India. It is planned that all products will be supplied only after obtaining the necessary international 'Halal' certificates and documents. Furthermore, work is underway to refine logistics routes through Turkey, including the port of Mersin.
Over the past years, the volume of agricultural trade between the two countries has increased by more than threefold. In parallel, Uzbekistan has received permission to export more than thirty types of its products to India.
It was previously noted that India has become the largest supplier of meat to Uzbekistan. For instance, in the first half of 2026 alone, 33.9 thousand tons of beef were imported from India, accounting for approximately 47% of the total import volume of this type of meat.
