The construction of the nuclear power plant (NPP) is accelerating: tenders have been announced for the purchase of rebar, concrete, as well as for the rental of housing for employees.
Atomstroyexport company conducted tenders for the purchase of concrete, rebar, and equipment for the NPP construction, as well as for the rental of 54 residential premises for its workers. This information was published on the Atomstroyexport procurement portal.
As part of the tenders, the company is looking for suppliers of rebar rolling and construction rebar for the manufacture of reinforced concrete structures. Part of this rebar will be purchased for the construction organization participating in the erection of the NPP.
In addition, tenders have been announced for the purchase of metal rolling for pipes and workshops, concrete mixes, instruments for visual and measuring control, special clothing, personal protective equipment, and other necessary assortment.
Atomstroyexport also announced a competition for the rental of 54 residential facilities for temporary placement of personnel in the Jizzax district of the Farish district of Uzbekistan.
These purchases indicate the growing volume of work on the NPP territory and the increase in the number of recruited employees. It is worth noting that work began in March to pour almost 900 cubic meters of concrete for the reactor building foundation. On June 4, the first concrete foundation of the first power unit was poured, officially marking the start of construction of this nuclear facility.
The station comprises two VVER-1000 reactors and two RITM-20N reactors, each with a capacity of 55 MW.
