Shiv Sena leader announced commercialization of Ram Mandir after appointing CEO

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is preparing to hold a meeting on Wednesday to appoint the first chief executive officer of the temple. The search committee presented its final report following the review of over five thousand applications.

In New Delhi, Shiv Sena party leader Sanjay Raut accused on Thursday that the appointment of a CEO for the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust marked the beginning of the 'corporatization' of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Commenting on this appointment, Raut stated: 'For the first time, there is a CEO of Ram Mandir. This means the corporatization of the temple has occurred. When there is a business, there is a CEO, a managing director, directors.'

On Wednesday, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust selected Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra as the first chief executive officer of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Mishra previously held the position of Commander of the Western Air Command of the Indian Air Force during the launch of Operation Sindoor on May 7, 2025, in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
