Xiaomi launches Redmi 17 5G in India with 7900 mAh battery, 50 MP camera, and 2 TB support

Xiaomi has introduced the new Redmi 17 5G smartphone to the Indian market. The device is equipped with a 7900 mAh battery, a 50-megapixel main camera, and supports SD memory cards up to 2 TB. Additionally, the manufacturer has offered several new attractive color options.

The Redmi 17 5G is available in two memory configurations. The option with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage is priced at 23,999 rupees. The more powerful version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage costs 26,999 rupees. This device is presented in the colors Internal Orange, Endless Blue, and Absolute Black.

The Redmi 17 5G features a 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i is used to protect the screen. The device is also equipped with dual speakers.

The Redmi 17 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset. It supports variants with 6 GB and 8 GB of RAM, as well as 128 GB of internal storage. The ability to connect a microSD card up to 2 TB allows for memory expansion.

The Redmi 17 5G is equipped with a large 7900 mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. It also includes a 3.5 mm audio jack. The device's operating system will be based on Android 16 using Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
