Cradlewise raises $12 million in Series A round with participation from 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management

Cradlewise, a company focused on AI-driven consumer health and wellness, has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by 3one4 Capital and Prudent Investment Management.

The funds raised will be used by the company to expand its operations, develop sales channels, conduct research and product development, and enter international markets.

Cradlewise was founded in 2019 by Radhika Patil and Bharat Patil. The company develops products focused on the sleep of infants and children. Their smart sleep system integrates a crib, contactless monitoring, adaptive movement, and a connected application.

According to the company, the system uses data from sensors that track movement, sound, sleep state, and other contextual factors. This allows the system to detect early signs of restlessness and respond with movement to soothe the infant before they fully wake up. Cradlewise claims that their system can save parents up to two hours of effort daily.

Radhika Patil, co-founder and CEO of Cradlewise, noted that the company's idea stemmed from her personal experience of sleepless nights as a parent. She emphasized that the goal was to create something that does more than just inform parents about a child waking up. She added that the current round will allow them to reach more families, expand accessibility, and create products that support the sleep process as children grow.

The startup plans to increase distribution through retail and online channels, as well as through partnerships and entry into global markets. Furthermore, the company is working on products beyond the crib, including sleep routine software solutions, complementary baby sleep equipment, and more affordable goods. These initiatives aim to expand the company's offering beyond the infancy stage of 0 to 24 months.

Cradlewise reported that its technologies are patented, covering hardware and sensor systems, and the company's products have collected over 75 million hours of sleep data. Crib manufacturing takes place at a facility in Pune, which, according to the company, can produce, test, and pack thousands of units monthly.

Bharat Patil, co-founder and CTO of Cradlewise, stated that the company's mission is centered on sensing, learning, and influencing. He expressed a desire to create technologies that solve problems so seamlessly that users stop thinking about them.

Anand Batra from the Investment Department of 3one4 Capital noted that Cradlewise addresses a critical parenting challenge through a unique combination of product depth, data, manufacturing control, and customer trust. He added that Radhika and Bharat have created a differentiated sleep system with strong unit economics and a roadmap that allows for continued customer relationships beyond infancy. He expressed enthusiasm for partnering with them to build a global sleep company for children from India and the US.

Thanks to this round, Cradlewise's total raised capital has reached $26 million. Other investors in the company include Sean O'Sullivan Ventures, Footwork VC, Charles River Ventures, 3one4 Capital, and Prudent Investment Management. The company's headquarters are in San Francisco, with manufacturing facilities located in Pune.
