Philips, a well-known company that produces both home appliances and consumer goods, has introduced its first smartphone to the Indian market. This new device is named Philips S7221 5G.
The smartphone is available for purchase on Amazon India. The basic version of the Philips S7221 5G starts at a price of 20,499 rupees and features a configuration of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. A more powerful version, offering 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, costs 22,499 rupees.
The model will be available in three color options: black, blue, and gray. The device specifications include a 6.67-inch HD LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The Philips S7221 5G uses the OctaCore Spreadtrum T765 chipset as its processor, and the memory operates on LPDDR4. The phone runs on Android 16.
The smartphone's camera system includes a 64-megapixel main module and a 16-megapixel front camera that supports video calls. The AI Scene Detection feature is also integrated into the device.
To ensure the smartphone's operation, it is equipped with a 5,700 mAh battery, which comes with a 25W fast charging adapter. Additionally, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Philips S7221 5G represents a serious competitor to existing market players, but its long-term success remains to be determined.
