On the day of Ajja Ekadashi, one should wake up before sunrise, take a bath, and then wear clean clothes. It is necessary to offer tribute to the Sun and take an oath of fasting while meditating on Lord Vishnu. After this, an altar is set up at the place of worship, on which a statue of Vishnu is placed. Yellow flowers, yellow clothing, sandalwood, akshat, tulsi leaves, fruits, and offerings are presented to the deity. A lamp is lit during the worship. Proper worship of Lord Vishnu should be performed, after which the Vishnu Sahasranama is recited, and everything concludes with Arati to Lord Vishnu.
