According to the Hindu calendar, the seventh day of the Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha falls on September 3, 2026, and this day is known as Sheetla Saptami or Sheetla Satam. This day promises to be special as it combines Ravi Yoga and the Nakshatra Kritika.

According to astrological data, performing rituals and prayers during this period can bring favorable results. It is important to know the full Panchang for September 3rd and the schedule of auspicious and inauspicious times of the day.

The Sheetla Saptami festival will take place on September 3, 2026. The auspicious time for worshipping Mother Sheetla is set from 6:24 AM to 6:52 PM.

Traditionally, on Sheetla Saptami, it is customary to wake up during Brahma Muhurta and take a bath, using cold water. After this, one should wear clean and fresh clothes and prepare for the ritual. A lamp must be lit before the image or statue of Mother Sheetla, after which worship should begin with sincere faith.

Cold dishes prepared the day before hold special significance in the Sheetla Saptami rites. Food prepared on Randhan Chhat day is offered to Mother Sheetla as an offering the following day. During the worship, cold dishes known as Basoda should be offered.

During the ritual, water, rolls, akshata, and flowers should be offered to Mother Sheetla. One should also pray that every family member remains healthy, happy, and cool. According to beliefs, worshipping Mother Sheetla is done to wish for health and peace in the family. After completing the worship, believers partake in blessed sweets, which all family members consume together while they are cold.
