Representatives from Uzbekistan will take part in international rowing competitions in kayaks and canoes called the 'Cup of Goodwill'. These competitions are scheduled for September 3 to 6 and will be held at the Rowing Channel in Moscow.
The tournament will attract over 800 athletes representing various countries. In addition to participants from Uzbekistan, athletes from Russia, Belarus, Turkey, and the Philippines, as well as from other countries, have entered the competition. The program of the competitions will include both experienced adult rowers and juniors.
The tournament program covers several disciplines, including canoe sprint, paracanoe, Dragon boat races, SUP, canupo, and kayak cross. Distances in various disciplines will range from 100 to 5,000 meters. The official opening of the event is scheduled for September 5, and the closing ceremony and award presentation with the cup will take place on September 6.
It is worth noting that previously, Uzbek rowers Shakhzod Nurmatov and Sobir Safarliyev achieved historical success by winning a gold medal at the adult World Championships in academic rowing.
