After an eleven-year hiatus, Kabelo Mabalane is resuming the release of new music. The Kwaito legend announced that his new track 'Everybody needs somebody' will be released on September 3, 2026.
Sharing this date on his social media, Mabalane announced the release of the new single in collaboration with The Arrows. He wrote: 'It's been 11 years... and it finally happened!'
He added that there have been many changes, stops, and detours during this time, but he kept his promise to release new music. This single is the first track from his upcoming tenth solo album, marking his return to releasing solo music.
New Musical Chapter
The former member of the group TKZee last released the album 'Immortal Vol. 3' in 2015. In a previous social media post, he explained why he is returning to the studio now, noting that it is all related to authenticity.
He stated: 'I must take into account the fact that I am now a married man, a father, a pastor, I am where I am with my faith, and it became clear to me that that is where I need to create from. And that is what I did with this album, which I eagerly await for you to hear.'
What to Expect from the Album
This announcement has generated increased interest in the new music Mabalane is working on, as well as in the other artists he plans to include in the album. A previous video showed Mabalane in a studio session with artists such as Khaya Mthethwa and JazziQ. The clip also featured an orchestra and gospel singers, hinting at a sound that combines various musical influences.
