According to the Brand Finance Football 50 2026 report, the football club Real Madrid CF is the world's most valuable football brand in 2026, with an estimated worth of €2.398 billion. The Spanish club has maintained its leading position for the third consecutive year, surpassing FC Barcelona with a value of €1.973 billion and Arsenal FC with an evaluation of €1.536 billion. The total value of the 50 leading football clubs globally reached a record €23.9 billion, marking the most significant annual growth in the rating's 15-year history.
Only the top ten clubs accounted for €14.9 billion, exceeding 60% of the total Football 50 value. Among the leaders are Real Madrid CF (€2.398 billion, growth +25%), FC Barcelona (€1.973 billion, growth +15%), Arsenal FC (€1.536 billion, growth +28%), FC Bayern Munich (€1.515 billion, growth +21%), Paris Saint-Germain FC (€1.503 billion, growth +10%), Manchester City FC (€1.481 billion, growth +3%), Liverpool FC (€1.469 billion, growth +5%), Manchester United FC (€1.438 billion, growth +15%), Chelsea FC (€955 million, decrease of 1%), and Borussia Dortmund (€664 million, growth +8%).
The Brand Finance report also indicated that Real Madrid possesses the highest Brand Strength Index (BSI) at 95.8 out of 100, which is the highest among the 281 clubs analyzed worldwide. Arsenal, whose brand grew by 28% after winning its first Premier League title in 22 years, overtook Manchester United to become the strongest football brand in Great Britain with a BSI of 94.0.
Fastest Growing and Declining Brands
Club VfB Stuttgart demonstrated the largest increase among all clubs in Football 50, nearly doubling its brand value (+99%) to €183.5 million. Aston Villa FC, named a 'Brand to Watch' by Brand Finance in 2026, increased by 60% to €483.5 million following its first Champions League appearance in over four decades. Among the top 10, the only club to lose value was Chelsea FC (a decrease of 1% to €955 million), while Juventus recorded the sharpest confirmed drop in the ranking (-17% to €419 million).
Distribution of Brand Value by Country
The United Kingdom accounts for 41.6% of the total Football 50 value and includes 20 of the 50 clubs. This is followed by Spain (23.0%, 7 clubs), Germany (15.1%, 9 clubs), Italy (8.3%, 5 clubs), France (6.8%, 2 clubs), Portugal (2.8%, 3 clubs), the Netherlands (1.3%, 2 clubs), and Brazil (1.0%, 2 clubs).
