Tata Motors receives all necessary regulatory approvals for Iveco acquisition

Tata Motors has received all preliminary permissions required under sectoral regulations for its proposed takeover of the Italian commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco Group. This marks another step toward completing the deal.

TML CV Holdings BV, acting on behalf of Tata Motors, obtained the remaining approval from the European Central Bank (ECB) to acquire indirect qualifying stakes in IC Financial Services SA and CNH Industrial Capital Europe SAS. Both these companies are authorized in France as specialized credit institutions.

Previously, the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority approved the change of control over Iveco Retail and IC Financial Services UK in January. Furthermore, the Bank of Spain gave its non-objection in June regarding the acquisition of an indirect qualifying stake in Transolver Finance.

With the receipt of all these permissions, all previous sectoral regulatory authorizations concerning Tata Motors' voluntary tender offer for Iveco shares have been obtained. A document with the offer will be published after verification by the Italian securities regulator.

Tata Motors announced its offer for Iveco in July 2025.
