A tragic incident occurred in the city of Surat when a 13-year-old boy committed suicide after being reprimanded by his mother. While having fun with his siblings, the mother scolded both children. Afterward, the son became upset and left the house, only to return about 15–20 minutes later and hang himself.
The incident took place in the Rander area, at house number 9 of the Bhuvneshwari residential complex. The deceased was only 13 years old and was a student in the 8th grade at Swaminarayan School. On the evening of August 31st, the children were playing and having fun at home, after which their mother began scolding them. Because of this, the boy felt offended and left the house. At that time, the mother was absent, dealing with matters related to her passport and Aadhaar card.
When the mother returned, she discovered her son hanging from the staircase railing. The sight shocked her, and screams erupted in the house. Relatives and neighbors arrived. The boy was immediately brought down and attempted to be taken to the hospital, but doctors at the civil hospital pronounced him dead. An autopsy was subsequently performed.
This tragedy shook the entire neighborhood. A child who was barely 13 years old took such a terrible step after a remark from his mother. For the family, it was a huge shock. It is reported that the child was simply having a good time with his siblings; the mother scolded them for discipline, but the child's subsequent actions plunged the entire family into deep sorrow. The deceased child's uncle, Rakesh Bhilave, stated that they are from the village of Bhesan. He recounted that the siblings had a slight argument, and his sister scolded him. Then she went away to get her passport and Aadhaar card. When the sister returned after 15–20 minutes, the boy had already hanged himself. The child was 13 years old and studied in the eighth grade at Swaminarayan School, Mora Baghal. He urged all parents to keep children away from phones and take care of them.
