For many decades, commercial space was viewed primarily as a place for transactions. However, under new consumption models and changing relationships between the physical and digital worlds, the design of retail spaces is once again questioning what a space can offer beyond the product itself.
A discussion was organized within the VhLab session that brought together perspectives from retail, architecture, furniture, and interior design solutions. It discussed how these changes are transforming commercial spaces.
The discussion covers a wide range of topics: from solutions that shape the customer's route and experience to the design, production, and collaboration processes necessary to bring an idea to life. It reflects on how space can become part of a broader strategy, as well as the potential of design, furniture, and collaborative creativity to meet the new needs of the retail sector.
