Reliance Consumer Products enters ice cream market under the brand Bombay Creamery

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), a division of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for fast-moving consumer goods, announced on Tuesday its entry into the ice cream market under its own brand, Bombay Creamery.

The Bombay Creamery ice cream line includes popular formats such as cones, cups, tubes, bars, and popsicles, with a starting price of 10 rupees. Initially, the product will be launched in Western India, followed by a nationwide rollout.

The new brand directly competes in the market with well-known brands such as Amul and Kwality Walls India.

Management Statement

T Krishnakumar, Director of RCPL, emphasized that Bombay Creamery was created based on a simple concept: dairy products should not require compromises. He added that RCPL is not just entering the ice cream category but is fully dedicating itself to it. Bombay Creamery guarantees the authentic taste of real ice cream with every purchase, using real milk, and does so at a price accessible to any Indian family.
