Moza Racing presented a replica of the Porsche 911 GT3 RS steering wheel at Gamescom 2026. This model, which was previously shown in 2025, returns after a year with a new configuration, now featuring an official license from Porsche and manufactured using the vehicle's original 1:1 scale CAD files.
This accessory is intended for racing simulators and faithfully replicates the steering wheel of the 992 generation 911 GT3 RS. It has a diameter of 33.5 cm, a D-shape, a central structure made of cast aluminum alloy, and a microfiber leather rim with a hand-stitched finish, including a marker band positioned at 12 o'clock.
What distinguishes this replica from a mere tribute is its central hub. Four rotary selectors replicate the street car's arrangement, allowing control over driving mode, suspension, traction control, and the PTV torque distribution system. The steering wheel offers a total of up to 25 programmable commands, which include ten backlit front buttons with 16.7 million colors, four rotary encoders, two thumbwheels, one rear button, and a functional horn.
The rear gear shifters are made of carbon fiber, and the unit features a quick-release mechanism to facilitate swapping on the base. Compatibility is native with all current Moza line force feedback bases. To use the wheel with other brands' bases on a computer, it includes an RJ11 port and requires the Moza Hub Kit adapter.
The most significant modification compared to the 2025 prototype is subtle but alters usability: the screen has become removable. In the version presented last year, there was a fixed 3-inch HD display in the center of the wheel. Currently, this display can be removed, allowing the wheel to maintain the appearance of a street model when the driver opts not to have visible telemetry in front.
This is Moza's second collaboration with Porsche. The first was the Mission R steering wheel, measuring 320 mm, equipped with a 5.4-inch flexible OLED screen and designed with a focus on competition, contrasting with the GT3 RS approach, which mimics a street car. During the event in Cologne, between August 26th and 30th, the company also displayed licensed steering wheels from the Ford Mustang GTD and two Mercedes-Benz models, one of which was inspired by the five-screen Vision One-Eleven concept.
However, crucial information for potential buyers has not yet been released by Moza, such as price, release date, or definitive platform compatibility. Although specialized press rumors point to the first quarter of 2027, industry publications like BoxThisLap and Inside Sim Racing warn that such information is merely speculation without confirmation from the manufacturer. Regarding the Mercedes wheels, the company mentioned the first half of 2027, also without providing values.
