Digicloud recruits African partners to promote Google SecOps solutions

Digicloud Africa, as a Google partner for support in Africa and the exclusive distributor of Google Security Operations across the continent, is actively recruiting partners to sell this platform. The company is currently focused on adapting, training, and equipping Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs).

Chris Richardson, Head of Cloud Strategy at Digicloud Africa, noted that Google has significantly lowered the barrier to entry for partners wishing to establish their own security practice. He emphasized that Google SecOps represents a substantial opportunity for Google partners overall, as the company has simplified the process of achieving security competency levels.

Richardson added that they are expanding the capabilities of Google SecOps partnerships for MSPs and MSSPs throughout Africa, continuously onboarding, training, and supporting new partners to help them find ways to attract new clients.

Overview of the Google SecOps Platform

Google SecOps is a cloud platform that integrates Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), and Mandiant threat intelligence analytics, all running on Google's artificial intelligence infrastructure. It is built on Google's core infrastructure for ingesting, analyzing, and searching large volumes of security telemetry.

According to Richardson, the platform is distinguished by its independence from specific cloud solutions and vendors. Google is recognized as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM systems and in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Incident Response 2025 Vendor Assessment.

Growing Demand for Solutions

Richardson stated that demand is coming from organizations of all sizes. With numerous contract options and additional features, companies of various scales are adopting the platform. Users include banks and large commercial entities, and there has also been a recent significant increase in interest from small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and partners who see the value the product can bring.

It does not matter whether customers use SaaS-based applications, operate locally, or in the cloud; the product stack integrates with thousands of different variables for different customers.

Opportunities for Partners

Richardson believes that Google SecOps offers partners a high-margin opportunity to increase client value and grow their own business. Partners can offer SIEM and SOC services without the need for large initial investments.

He also noted that Google continues to add functionality without increasing prices. Unlike many vendors who raise costs when adding new features, Google does not do this. This allows partners to sign annual and three-year contracts at a fixed price while benefiting from functional updates throughout the entire three-year period. A key advantage is the ability of partners to adapt and brand this platform.

Selling the integrated stack can shift the conversation focus from purchasing another security tool to modernizing security operations. Applying Mandiant threat intelligence to Google Security Command Center findings allows analysts to filter out extraneous information so that they only see verified, high-confidence threats.

The platform also provides cloud infrastructure teams and security operations centers with a unified view of cloud risks and active threats, eliminating the need for separate tools that traditionally handled these functions. SOAR capabilities allow customers to automate responses to Security Command Center findings, reducing response time from days or hours to seconds.

Richardson stressed that 'No other cloud provider has Mandiant.' Sellers can confidently state that the client's environment is protected by the same threat intelligence gathered at the forefront of the world's largest cyberattacks.

There is also a clear path for increasing sales: a client starting with Security Command Center Premium can upgrade to Security Command Center Enterprise or a full Google SecOps deployment, which opens up opportunities for the partner for continuous detection and response work.
