JSW MG Motor India reports 14% growth in wholesale sales in August to 7,508 units

JSW MG Motor India announced on Tuesday that its wholesale sales in August showed a 14% increase compared to the previous year, reaching a volume of 7,508 units.

During August 2025, the sales volume was 6,578 units. The company noted that it maintained a strong sales pace in both the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) segment and the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) portfolio in the reporting month.

Last month, JSW MG Motor India introduced the Tomahawk SUV, which is built on the company's first SUV model on the Multi-New Energy Vehicle platform, named ADAPT. This new Tomahawk SUV model is available in both an Electric Vehicle (EV) variant and a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) configuration.

Furthermore, JSW MG Motor India reported that it has begun shipping MG Hector Tomahawk electric vehicles to dealerships across India.

JSVW-MG has introduced its new model to the Indian market—the MG Hector Tomahawk EV. Additionally, the company also showcased the Tomahawk plug-in hybrid.

This vehicle is the first product based on MG's ADAPT platform released in India. The EV version is available in several trims and features Battery as a Service (BaaS).

JSVW-MG launched the Hector Tomahawk with a starting price of 13.99 rupees for the BaaS variant, which requires payment for the battery at 4.9 rupees per kilometer. When purchasing this SUV with the battery, the starting price is 19.49 lakh rupees, including export duties.

The MG Hector Tomahawk is equipped with a 69.2 kWh battery. According to the company, this battery allows the vehicle to travel a distance of 517 kilometers (claimed range). The car supports both AC and DC charging. It offers a power output of 150 kW and a torque of 310 Nm.

The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 8.2 seconds. Furthermore, it incorporates Vehicle to Home functionality, allowing stored energy to be used in the house when needed. The SUV is equipped with a 360-degree view camera that works in conjunction with a transparent chassis view. Additional features include ESP, traction control, hill hold assist, electronic parking brake, and other options. The vehicle also features Level 2 ADAS, which includes 11 different functions.
