After her departure from eNCA in July, journalist and television presenter Heidi Giokos has returned to airwaves, taking on the role of host for the weekly program Fullview at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). Her debut in this new role took place on Monday.
The public broadcaster officially confirmed her appointment on Monday. According to available information, Giokos was dismissed from eNCA following her participation in a commercial advertisement where she acted as a television reporter. She had previously started working at eNCA in 2017 as a general reporter.
It is reported that before her dismissal, Giokos was placed under temporary suspension pending a disciplinary hearing at eNCA, after which she was found guilty and immediately terminated.

SABC stated that Giokos's appointment as host of the weekly program Fullview strengthens the public corporation's commitment to providing the audience nationwide with credible, in-depth, and meaningful journalism.
