Uttarakhand Chief Minister intervenes to ensure emergency medical care for boy

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami assisted in securing urgent medical care for an eight-year-old boy suffering from a severe chronic illness. This occurred after the Chief Minister visited a local eatery in Lohiagad where the boy's father shared his difficult situation.

On the Chief Minister's directive, the district magistrate of Udham Singhgar, Nitin Singh Bhadauria, along with Chief Medical Officer Dr. SK Goswami, a group of doctors, Development Department Head Diveesh Sasani, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Tushar Saini, visited Ravi Sharma's home. According to the Chief Medical Officer, his eight-year-old son has suffered from health problems since early childhood and is unable to move his arms and legs.

Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Ravi Sharma's shop in Lohiagad on Sunday to eat tikki. During the conversation, Ravi Sharma told the Chief Minister about his son Dev and his condition. The child has been receiving treatment since birth, including treatment at Indresh Hospital in Dehradun.

Orthopedist Dr. HS Airy and the Chief Medical Officer examined the child, reviewing his previous medical history and treatment records. After the examination and assessment of past treatments, the doctors recommended an MRI scan first, after which a decision would be made regarding further treatment. The District Magistrate immediately instructed officials to arrange the child's MRI scan for the very next day.

He stated that the administration would provide a vehicle and necessary support to transport the child and his parents to the district hospital. He assured the family that all possible efforts would be made to ensure the child receives proper treatment and that not a single stone would be left unturned in his care.

Earlier, on August 28, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also announced plans to develop modern high-tech toilets across the state, considering the convenience, safety, and dignity of women. The Chief Minister emphasized that the dignity and respect for women are among the highest priorities of the state government, and these facilities will be equipped with modern amenities, paying special attention to cleanliness, privacy, safety, and the basic needs of women.
