US President Donald Trump and current Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro announced the signing of an agreement. According to this contract, the US will gain majority control over more than 65 billion barrels of proven Venezuelan oil reserves.
Both governments stated that this deal would be mutually beneficial for the populations of both countries. Nevertheless, some Venezuelan citizens have expressed concern regarding this agreement.
