Simple way to clean a microwave from grease and dirt in 5 minutes without intensive scrubbing

During daily use of the microwave for heating food, splashes of sauces, oil, or food residue often occur, which stick to the inner walls. Over time, this dirt accumulates, making the appliance untidy, and removing it requires vigorous scrubbing of the surfaces. However, aggressive rubbing can lead to scratches inside the microwave, which is undesirable.

If you have to spend a lot of effort cleaning your microwave, there is a simple method that will allow you to handle this task quickly and without unnecessary hassle. Expensive cleaning agents are not required for this; it is enough to use common household ingredients such as water, dish soap, and lemon.

How to clean a microwave:

First, you need to take a bowl suitable for the microwave oven and fill it with about two cups of water. Add one teaspoon of detergent and one tablespoon of lemon juice to this water. If lemon juice is unavailable, you can simply place several slices of lemon in the water.

After that, place the bowl inside the microwave and turn it on at maximum power for about five minutes. As a result of the heating, steam is generated, which helps loosen dried spots and grease stuck to the appliance walls.

It is important not to open the microwave door immediately after the five-minute cycle ends. It should be left closed for another two or three minutes so that the steam continues to soften the accumulated dirt.

When enough time has passed, open the door and wipe the interior surfaces of the microwave with a clean microfiber cloth or paper towel. Since the dirt has become soft, it is easily removed, and strong scrubbing is not required.

Certain points should be taken into account when cleaning.
