Samsung announced the launch of the Galaxy S26 FE on Thursday (27). This new smartphone was designed to offer flagship device features in a format that balances cost and benefit, positioning itself between the mid-range Galaxy A57 model and the current Galaxy S line.

During an official event held by the South Korean manufacturer, it was announced that the device will be available in international stores starting September 4th.

A significant highlight of this new generation is the incorporation of features typically found in the brand's more expensive models. Among the new features, the inclusion of My FanCam stands out, a feature unprecedented in Samsung's non-foldable phones, which automatically tracks the filmed object, adjusting the framing according to the person's movement.

The camera software also received Super Steady with horizontal lock, a feature inherited from the Galaxy S26 series, ensuring video stability even during abrupt movements. Additionally, improvements such as Nightography mode, designed for sharper night shots, and an algorithm that optimizes details in the 1x to 2x zoom were added.

Despite these software advancements, the physical optical setup maintained the specifications of the previous model. The rear features a 50 MP main sensor (with f/1.8 aperture and OIS), a 12 MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2), and an 8 MP telephoto lens (f/2.4, with 3x optical zoom and OIS). For selfies, the front camera has 12 MP (f/2.2).

Physically, the device measures 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4 mm, weighs 193 grams, and has an IP68 rating for dust and water protection. The screen is equipped with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel, featuring FHD+ resolution and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1 Hz to 120 Hz.

The Galaxy S26 FE uses the Exynos 2500 processor, a chip manufactured in a 3-nanometer architecture, introduced in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. This component offers higher clock speed in its 10 CPU cores, enhancements to the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), and optimized graphics.

The smartphone will only be marketed with 8 GB of RAM across all versions. Available internal storage options are 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The battery maintains its original capacity of 4,900 mAh, supporting up to 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. Connectivity supports 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4.

A notable point is that this is the first device to ship with the One UI 9.0 interface, based on Android 17. Considering Samsung's update policy guarantees seven years of support, the Galaxy S26 FE will receive updates up to Android 24, surpassing the support of the Galaxy S26 line, whose cycle will end with Android 23.

The One UI 9.0 version incorporates Gemini-based Artificial Intelligence innovations, along with the revamped Now Brief and Now Nudge functions, and the Circle to Search feature.

The basic 128 GB model will launch in the United States for $699 (equivalent to approximately R$ 3,600 in direct conversion), confirming speculation about a possible price adjustment compared to the previous generation. In Europe, prices start at €799 (for the 128 GB version), corresponding to about R$ 4,800 at the current exchange rate, potentially reaching €1,099 in the 512 GB configuration, which represents approximately R$ 6,600 without taxes.

The manufacturer communicated that buyers of the new Fan Edition will be entitled to six months of free subscription to the Google AI Pro service, which grants access to advanced AI models and 5 TB of cloud storage. The Galaxy S26 FE will be available in mulberry (dark blue), pistachio (green), and graphite (black) colors.

In Brazil, Samsung has not yet disclosed the price or the official date of sales commencement in the national retail market, although it has been confirmed that the device has obtained Anatel approval.

This combination ensures accurate colors in image display, high fluidity during application and game navigation, and excellent visibility in various lighting conditions.

The chassis of the Galaxy S25 is constructed from Armor 2 aluminum and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on both sides, providing resistance against impacts and drops. Furthermore, the IP68 certification guarantees protection against dust and accidental submersion.

The internal 4,000 mAh battery promises autonomy of up to 29 hours of video playback, according to the manufacturer. Charging can be done at 25 W via USB-C cable or 15 W wirelessly, allowing the user to use the gadget for a full day without constant access to outlets.
