Testing of a new high-speed train manufactured in China is being conducted in the city of Andijan. This train set is capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour and, according to forecasts, will provide passenger transport from Tashkent to Andijan in approximately three hours.
Currently, specialists are checking the train's operation during test runs. This set is designed to carry up to 415 passengers simultaneously.
The introduction of this new high-speed connection aims to improve the quality of transport links between the Andijan region and Tashkent, reduce travel time, and make interregional journeys more comfortable.
Once all tests are completed, a final decision will be made regarding the further launch of this route. It should be noted that a third high-speed passenger train, manufactured by Hyundai Rotem in South Korea, has already been delivered to Uzbekistan.
