The new train, manufactured in China, is capable of carrying 415 passengers and is expected to travel from Tashkent to Andijan in just three hours.
This new consist can travel at speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour and is designed to transport 415 passengers simultaneously. According to the plan, the train will cover the distance between Tashkent and Andijan in three hours, which could potentially significantly reduce the duration of the railway journey between these cities and the valley.
Currently, the train is undergoing a trial period. During these tests, the technical capabilities of the train, its compatibility with railway infrastructure, operational safety, and route transit time are being verified.
Previously, 'Uzbekistan Railways' announced a tender for the purchase of twenty electric trains capable of traveling at 160 kilometers per hour, along with corresponding spare parts and maintenance equipment. However, it has not been officially stated that this consist arriving in Andijan belongs specifically to this program.
