The Indian Institute of Science and Technology (IISc) has established a non-profit company to develop India's potential in the field of quantum computing. This technology is expected to play a significant role in scientific research, industry, as well as in computing and communications in the coming years.
The new company, created in Section 8 format, will function as a thematic hub for quantum computing at IISc under the Union Government's National Quantum Mission.
