The Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy has announced the first competition to support projects in the fields of family and youth population. The goal of this initiative is to transform innovative ideas into effective measures to solve family-related problems and increase birth rates.
According to an IRNA report, this initiative covers priorities related to policy, infrastructure, national level, and healthcare. Within the executive and political part of the competition, the emphasis is placed on the full implementation of the Law on Family and Youth Population, promoting the culture of having children, and strengthening support for families with children.
In accordance with the national division of labor, universities and comprehensive centers will be involved in identifying and prioritizing cultural, educational, and social tasks, which will then enter the agenda for developing and implementing operational plans.
The health and biotechnology section focuses on supporting research and commercialization of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs). This aims to achieve innovative successes in preserving and improving the health of mothers and children through the use of cellular, gene, and tissue technologies.
The Fourth National Youth Population Award is scheduled for November 15. The event is designed to strengthen the institution of the family, promote the development of effective demographic policies and initiatives, and stimulate more active public participation in the implementation of the Youth Population Law.
The National Headquarters for Population Affairs organizes this event with the aim of raising public awareness about the importance of population issues, encouraging youth to marry and start families, showcasing successful and inspiring examples, strengthening intersectoral cooperation and synergy, and supporting research, innovation, and initiatives in the field of youth population.
The event is aimed at recognizing leading individuals, families, institutions, and organizations that demonstrate successful experience in youth population development, guided by the principles of sustainable population development, social justice, public participation, innovation, and evidence-based approaches, as well as the preservation of human dignity.
The competition will be held across seven categories, including mass media, non-governmental organizations, executive bodies, private companies, and institutions, leaders, elites, and families. Participants' indicators, results, and actions will be evaluated according to criteria, metrics, and scores approved by the National Headquarters for Population Affairs.
