Uzbekistan has begun testing a modern high-speed train manufactured in China, which arrived in the Andijan region. According to the statement from the Andijan regional administration, this train is capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h and carrying up to 415 passengers simultaneously.
Following the launch of the new route, the journey between Tashkent and Andijan is expected to take about three hours. These tests are being conducted as part of trial operation, as the new train set is considered a modern option for passenger transport connecting the capital with Andijan.
The launch of high-speed services is intended to improve transport connectivity between Tashkent and Andijan, offering passengers faster and more convenient travel. Furthermore, the new route promotes mobility between regions and makes rail transport more efficient.
