Losing a corporate job is a difficult ordeal in itself, but for a 29-year-old man, four months of unemployment showed him that he had lost not only his job but also his sense of purpose and a regular daily routine. He shared his experience online, stating that he was laid off from his company in April, after which he received nine months' compensation plus unemployment benefits, which are expected to be paid until November.
Despite having sufficient savings to cover expenses for many years, the emotional impact of unemployment began to surface. To cope with this situation, he decided to change course. He opted for part-time dishwashing work, which earns about $11 an hour, equivalent to approximately 950 rupees per hour.
In his post, the young man continued to explain that finding another job proved to be a challenging task. He reported sending over 200 resumes and participating in more than 15 interviews without securing any employment. He emphasized that this job is not a replacement for his former career or a solution to his financial problems; rather, he hopes that the work and daily responsibilities will help him restore stability and a consistent schedule.
