A new scientific study was conducted using samples extracted from the Chinese cave of Huluh. Previously, more than thirty years ago, two skulls of archaic hominins were discovered in this cave.
Specialists applied uranium series and electron paramagnetic resonance methods to determine the age of these remains. The analysis established that the presumed age of these archaic humans exceeds 600,000 years.
The results of this study were officially presented in a scientific publication published in the journal Quaternary Science Reviews.
