While caring for them, alongside applying for vacancies, she discovered that all six purchased chicks turned out to be roosters. After this, Maria asked her husband to bring laying hens, i.e., chickens that lay eggs. One reason was the desire to feed her children homemade eggs, which are healthier and prepared at home, instead of store-bought ones.
Gradually, the family expanded their small chicken coop. New chickens arrived, eggs started appearing, and soon the number of eggs in the house increased significantly. Initially, this was done solely to provide eggs for the family. But when too many eggs started appearing, Maria began selling them. This process gradually turned into a small business, and she established her poultry farm.
