Bullet Train-style high-speed train station: interior surpasses airports

Projects for building high-speed trains are being actively promoted in the country, and the dream of them may become a reality as early as next year. The first high-speed line will connect Mumbai and Ahmedabad and is scheduled to start operations on August 15, 2027. Currently, round-the-clock work is underway to lay tracks and construct railway stations for this high-speed train.

With the high-speed train projects, many photographs have emerged. It is becoming evident that the Sabarmati station is being built very beautifully. Looking at the interior and exterior views, one can feel delight. To check the current progress of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed train project, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of the Ahmedabad Railway Division visited the Sabarmati station and the Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH).

During the visit, he checked the construction progress and discussed the project with various senior staff and engineers involved in the project. He inspected the station complex, passenger hall, platforms, and connecting lines to the multimodal hub. A thorough inspection of the technologies used in infrastructure construction and safety standards was conducted.

The DRM stated that the high-speed train is an extremely ambitious project for India, so no compromises can be made in any aspect regarding construction quality and passenger safety. He instructed to accelerate the pace and increase the efficiency of all works to complete them within the established deadlines.

This multimodal transport hub, being built in Sabarmati, will integrate the high-speed train, the Sabarmati broad-gauge Indian Railways station, the Ahmedabad metro, and the BRTS bus service. A convenient system for passenger movement will be organized here, including elevators, escalators, ticket sales areas, and parking that meets international standards.

Videos show that the high-speed train station is almost ready. The station building looks magnificent; currently, the Sabarmati station building has six floors where various amenities will be located. Work continues actively at all high-speed train stations between Ahmedabad and Mumbai, and track laying is proceeding intensively.
